This week started off good, but fell apart by Thursday…
Wednesday I was in a rush getting everything ready for church that night because my husband was on the schedule to usher. I needed to give Chloe a bath, so I frantically gathered all of her bathing supplies, plopped her in the water and started washing her hair, BUT something didn’t smell quite right, I look down at the bottle only to find that I had washed her hair in Honeysuckle scented bubble bath!
Thursday just seemed to be one big fail all day.
Chloe woke up late which threw the entire day out of whack.
I went to the store to take advantage of some awesome deals and when I left I put Chloe in the car seat, and if you live in Alabama then you know how warm it has been, anywho, I started the car for her with my remote start button and what do I do??? Yep! Forget to unlock it, throw the keys in the seat and slam the door with my baby inside!!! I was frantic, to say the least. Thankfully my sweet hubby was not very far away and he saved the day and our bank account by not having to pay a locksmith.
Then I get home and realize that I forgot to get the hamburger meat for the spaghetti that I was going to make for dinner, so we ended up eating Chicken Helper – Lovely.
Oh and I can’t forget about the mountain of laundry and housework that needs to be done.

Having laundry and housework isn’t a fail…it’s just the way it goes when you’re busy with a family. (that’s what I tell myself anyway!)
I locked David in the truck one time. I had put him in and as I threw the keys inside (which I never do) the lock button hit something inside the truck and locked it. I didn’t realize it until I went around to the other side to get in. Fortunately at that time, Chuck wasn’t far away so he came to the rescue. Glad Chloe is okay.
Glad I’m not the only one!!
I locked my son inside the house once, or rather I locked myself out with him inside. He was almost two, so old enough to get into a lot of trouble, but not old enough to come unlock the door for me! I could see him through the window, and he kept coming to check on me and make sure mommy was okay
I had to call the locksmith and tell them it was an emergency because my husband was several hours away.
Glad she was okay and that your husband was close by.
Oh Sheri! That must have been awful! My daughter is about the same age (18 months) so I can only imagine what she would get into if I wasn’t able to be in the house with her!!
That’s the worst feeling ever, isn’t it?
I know it seemed like a bad day for you but with the exception of Chloe being looked in the car, everything else can wait. I was always trying to cook and clean when my children were small only to find out babies don’t wait, they grow up fast, cooking, housework and everything else Mothe’s do will alway be there waiting on you.
I did that to my son too once. We were in the church parking lot and I put in my purse in the front seat after I put him in his car seat in the back and locked the door. Good thing the windows were rolled down a bit so some men from the church opened the door with a coat hanger. Thank God for redeemed brothers in the Lord,
