Oklahoma!

We are headed to the great state of Oklahoma! My husbands little sister is graduating high school (they grow up way too fast). I’m so excited to be going back, we haven’t been since 2007. We lived there for a year, while we went to Bible school. We will be visiting family that we haven’t seen in way too long. I am also extremely excited to be visiting Church on the Move. {Happy Dance}

I have a ton of packing to do (especially for an 18 month-old), not to mention cleaning the car and taking my dog to my  mom’s house (an hour away), so tomorrow will be an adventure.

I will post pics when we get back (we bought a new memory card especially for this trip) and I may post some on Twitter so be sure to follow me, if you’re not already.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Favorite Deals

I’m going to start posting my awesome coupon deals on a regular basis, but here are a couple of my favorite – both at Publix:

$25.97

This week started off  good, but fell apart by Thursday…

Wednesday I was in a rush getting everything ready for church that night because my husband was on the schedule to usher. I needed to give Chloe a bath, so I frantically gathered all of her bathing supplies, plopped her in the water and started washing her hair, BUT something didn’t smell quite right, I look down at the bottle only to find that I had washed her hair in Honeysuckle scented bubble bath!

Thursday just seemed to be one big fail all day.

Chloe woke up late which threw the entire day out of whack.

I went to the store to take advantage of some awesome deals and when I left I put Chloe in the car seat, and if you live in Alabama then you know how warm it has been, anywho, I started the car for her with my remote start button and what do I do??? Yep! Forget to unlock it, throw the keys in the seat and slam the door with my baby inside!!! I was frantic, to say the least. Thankfully my sweet hubby was not very far away and he saved the day and our bank account by not having to pay a locksmith.

Then I get home and realize that I forgot to get the hamburger meat for the spaghetti that I was going to make for dinner, so we ended up eating Chicken Helper – Lovely.

Oh and I can’t forget about the mountain of laundry and housework that needs to be done.

Nashville Flood

I decided to do a post dedicated to one of our favorite cities to visit, Nashville. Our family loves Nashville and it makes me so sad to see the flooding there as well as the lack of media coverage. Here are several pictures of the city under water…

Please pray for Nashville residents and the families that have lost loved ones due to the flooding. I know that Nashville will recover but it will be a long recovery process.

A little late…

Here are some pictures from Easter Sunday. Isn’t she so cute?

If you happened to catch Nightline last night before you went to bed there was a segment where they interviewed Joyce Meyer. I thought that Joyce did an excellent job answering all of the questions that they tried throwing at her and really, what else could they say?

Not impressed

A few weeks ago I entered a giveaway for a $25 gift card to Kroger. I thought  it would be the perfect opportunity to check out Kroger if I won, seeing how I had never been to Kroger…well, I WON!

Last week I decided to use my card to stock up on boneless, skinless chicken that was on sale, and I hate to say it but I was not impressed at all. The store had a terrible smell, the employees were not very friendly or helpful and it seemed that all the people shopping there, that night were just weird. Maybe it was that one store, time of day (it was at night) or maybe I’m just spoiled to Publix. I will try another Kroger store at least once before I totally write them off but I was very disappointed.
